Объектом исследования является арабографическая рукопись Ms.O 1301 из коллекции Библиотеки им. Горького СПбГУ, поступившая в XIX в. из Волго-Уральского региона и не становившаяся ранее темой научных публикаций. Цели исследования – анализ и введение в научный оборот нового источника по изучению ритуальных практик мусульман Волго-Уральского региона XIX в. Рукопись Ms.O 1301, представляющая собой конволют сочинений, содержит молитвы и рецепты на арабском языке с комментариями на тюрки, а также магические квадраты и амулеты (бэти). В ходе анализа текста рукописи и аттрибутирования молитв было выявлено, что большинство из них предназначено для рецитации в ходе проведения ритуалов перехода, в первую очередь, связанных с медициной и приданием сакральных свойств веществам. Рукопись является важным историческим источником, проливающим свет на духовный и религиозный ландшафт Волго-Уральского региона в XIX в., и представляет собой ценный материал для синхронного и диахронного анализа текстов молитв, чтение которых являлось неотъемлемой частью мусульманских ритуалов перехода. Рассматриваемая рукопись также содержит материал для исследования духовных связей Волго-Уральского региона с другими частями мира ислама в исторической перспективе.

The object of this research is the arabographic Ms.O 1301 manuscript from the collection of Maxim Gorky Library of St. Petersburg State University, received in the 19th century from the Volga-Ural region, which hasn’t previously become a topic of academic publications. The purpose of the study is to analyze and introduce into academic circulation a new source for the study of ritual practices of 19th-century Muslims of the Volga-Ural region. The Ms.O 1301 manuscript, which is a convolute of writings, contains prayers and recipes in Arabic with comments in Turki, as well as magic squares and tatar amulets (beti). During the analysis of the text of the manuscript and attribution of prayers, it was revealed that most of them are intended to be recited during the rites of passage, primarily related to medicine and sacralization of substances. The manuscript is an important historical source, shedding light on the spiritual and religious landscape of the Volga-Ural region in the 19th century and it should be considered as a valuable material for the synchronous and diachronic analysis of prayer texts, the reciting of which was an integral part of Muslim rites of passage. The manuscript also contains materiasl for the study of spiritual links of the Volga-Ural region with other parts of the Islamic world from a historical perspective.
